SAN JOSE — Few Sharks prospects were as eager get on the ice for a game this past weekend as defenseman Jeremy Roy.
Roy was in the lineup for the Sharks on Saturday as they faced the Colorado Avalanche on the first day of the four-team Prospects Showcase at Solar4America Ice. It was Roy’s first action against another team since he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last October in a Quebec Major Junior Hockey League game.
“It’s been a long time since I played a real game,” Roy said beforehand. “I’m definitely excited.
