Instant Replay: Sharks blank Wild for franchise-record 28th road win

Patrick Marleau scored twice and James Reimer made 29 saves, as the Sharks set a new franchise road record in a 3-0 win in Minnesota on Tuesday.

San Jose concluded the road portion of its schedule with a stellar 28-10-3 mark, setting a new team standard for road wins and points (59) in a season, passing the 2007-08 club. They tied the 1998-99 Devils and 2014-15 Rangers for the second-most road wins in a season in NHL history.

The Sharks drew to within one point of the second place Kings in the battle for home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs, pending Los Angeles’ result with Calgary.
