SAN JOSE — It might have been ideal for Sharks coach Pete DeBoer to give some of his heavy-minute players a game off between now and the end of the regular season to help them get physically ready for the grind of the NHL playoffs.
With the Sharks carrying a four-game losing streak into Thursday’s game against the Colorado Avalanche, and home ice advantage for the first round still hanging in the balance, that small luxury doesn’t exist now.
