Sharks: The Sharks will skate in their first regular season game under new coach Pete DeBoer, who replaced franchise wins leader Todd McLellan behind the bench after seven seasons. Wednesday’s game will also feature the debut in teal of newcomers Martin Jones, Joel Ward and Paul Martin. In its 25th anniversary season (and 24th overall) San Jose will begin its quest to return to the playoffs after its 10-year streak was broken, when it finished 12th out of 14th in the Western Conference in 2014-15.
