So what happens in Game 6?
A friend of mine — not Tomas Hertl — guaranteed me that the Sharks would win Game 5. I wasn’t buying it. I pointed out that in this series, Martin Jones’ save percentage was .838, his goals-against average was over 5 goals per game and he had been yanked in Games 3 and 4.
Frankly I thought coach Pete DeBoer was dead wrong in starting Jones in Game 5.
I guess that’s why DeBoer has won over 400 games in the NHL and I was a member of the
coaching staff that lost 100 games quicker than any in the history of the league.
