SAN JOSE -- The Sharks were their own worst enemy in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks, and it might have cost them any chance to make a final push in the Pacific Division standings.
Logan Couture tied the game with his 14th goal of the season with 9:02 to go in the third period. Just 3:59 later, though, Jannik Hansen took advantage of an errant pass by Joe Thornton inside the Canucks zone, streaked in on a 2-on-1 and beat goalie Martin Jones with a blistering slop shot for the winning goal.It was the Sharks' fourth loss on home ice in their last five games, as they fell five points back first place Los Angeles and four back of Anaheim.
