The San Jose Sharks have had many of their top players performing at high levels, but one stood out above the rest last week. Brent Burns re-established his dynamic offensive game with goals in three-straight contests as he was recognized as the third star of the week by the NHL today.
Burns led all defensemen last week with three goals, three assists and six points, including a three-point game against the Montreal Canadiens last Monday. His goal against Vancouver tied the game and established a new career-high for a season as it was his 23rd tally of the year.
