On the brink of elimination, St. Louis is changing goaltenders. Again.
The Blues announced Tuesday that Brian Elliott will start in goal against the Sharks in Game 6 on Wednesday at SAP Center.Elliott started every playoff game for the Blues, including the first three of the Western Conference finals. He was replaced by Jake Allen, who had mixed success."We needed the jolt from Jake,'' Blues coach Ken Hitchcock told reporters Tuesday. "We got it (in Game 4) to get back in the series."Unfortunately we didn't get the win (in Game 5) but this has been Brian's playoffs, and we'd like him to finish the job.
