The Mike Brown era came to an end this season as the forward was put on waivers and eventually claimed by the Montreal Canadiens. Brown played 104 games with the Sharks, just eight shy of tying his career-long 112 game stint with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Brown scored three goals and eight points while with the Sharks and notched three of those points in the 2015-16 season. He took 160 minutes worth of penalties and was a liability pretty much every time he was on the ice.
Billed as a tough and gritty competitor, Brown supposedly made the Sharks in ways that we can’t see by looking at a scoresheet or spreadsheet.
