Congratulations to Oak Grove High School graduate Melissa Valencia, the first ever recipient of the San Jose Earthquakes Spartan East Side Promise Scholarship! The Spartan East Side Promise (SESP) provides a pathway to admission to San Jose State University for thousands of eligible graduates from the East Side Union High School District. Dedicated to student success, the San Jose Earthquakes have partnered with SJSU to provide a unique opportunity for a student admitted through the SESP special admissions program. On behalf of the Quakes Foundation, Melissa will receive a full first year’s tuition and campus housing for her first year here at San Jose State.
