Training Report - February 16

The San Jose Earthquakes returned to the training grounds adjacent to Avaya Stadium for just the second time in the last two weeks, having spent 10 days in Tucson, Arizona and last weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Under the surprising heat of the mid-February sun, the Quakes opened up with their usual routine of warm-up and passing drills, as well as a bit of long-distance sprinting, in front of several on-looking media members.

The team then moved into 4v3 games with rapid rotations. Midfielder Tommy Thompson drew two penalty kicks – one of which was saved by goalkeeper David Bingham and the other converted by forward Quincy Amarikwa.
