Three Things to know as Earthquakes host Portland Timbers

The Earthquakes (3-3-3) return home after finally getting a road victory, beating Minnesota 1-0 last week. It was their first road win since Aug. 12, 2016. Portland (5-2-2) is off to a strong start with 17 points, second-most in Major League Soccer. The Timbers are unbeaten in their last two games, having played to a 2-2 draw at FC Dallas in their most recent match. Here are three things to think about as the game approaches:
