Feb. 12, 1999 – Acquired Defender Jimmy Conrad as MLS Discovery Player
San Jose acquired defender Jimmy Conrad as an MLS Discovery Player in 1999. He played with San Jose for four seasons, tallying two goals and six assists in 84 games. Conrad started and played the full match in the 2001 MLS Cup Final where he helped the Quakes earn a 2-1 victory against the LA Galaxy from the backline. Conrad would later be called up to the United States National Team and currently hosts a well-known soccer channel on YouTube.
