From his leadership on the field to his post-match comments, Quakes defender Florian Jungwirth has proven to be quite the character in his first season for San Jose. He’s showing that he can be a difference maker, too.
Jungwirth’s game-winning goal last weekend against Minnesota United FC was his second of the season and it earned the Quakes three valuable points away from home. It also earned him a place on the MLS Team of the Week roster for Week 9, the second time he’s made the list following the Week 1 Best XI honors he received for helping the Quakes shut out Ignacio Piatti and the Montreal Impact.
