Stanford product Jordan Morris leads MLS Homegrown squad

SAN JOSE -- Three local players will be in the spotlight during Wednesday's MLS Homegrown game at Avaya Stadium.

Stanford product Jordan Morris leads the Homegrown squad as perhaps the most promising American player in the game. After a sensational college career, Morris had offers to play in Germany before deciding to stay in the U.S. with Seattle. The 21-year-old Sounder and U.S. Men's National Team member is among the league leaders in goals scored with seven. Tommy Thompson, a former Earthquakes forward currently on loan with Sacramento Republic of the USL, will also be making his third consecutive appearance in the match.
