San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Tommy Thompson named to 2016 MLS All-Star week Homegrown Game

On the eve of the 2016 MLS All-Star game between the best of MLS and Arsenal FC, a select group of Homegrown Players will take on the Mexico U-20 international team at Avaya Stadium in San Jose. Included on the 20-man roster is Earthquakes midfielder Tommy Thompson, who will make his third appearance for the Homegrown team.

Thompson was a key contributor in last year's Homegrown Game against the Club America of Mexico's U-20 team, scoring the only goal for MLS in a 1-1 draw. In 2014, Thompson faced off against current teammate Fatai Alashe, then a member of opponents Portland Timbers FC U-23s, as part of a scoreless draw.
