Chris Wondolowski put in a vintage performance on Friday, and on Monday, he got the reward for his heroics, as the San Jose Earthquakes striker was voted MLS Player of the Week for Week 4 of the 2021 season.
Wondo came off the bench for the Earthquakes against Real Salt Lake in Rio Tinto Stadium in the 2nd half, and scored a brace to overturn a 1-0 RSL lead and make it a 2-1 Earthquakes win.
His first goal came in the 83rd minute, as he cleaned up a rebound off David Ochoa’s save to tie up the game.
