Midfielder Raul Mendiola became the eighth Reno 1868 FC player to earn USL Team of the Week honors in 2019. Mendiola was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 20, which featured a pair of road wins over OKC Energy FC and LA Galaxy II. Mendiola recorded the game-tying assist against OKC Energy FC, and his assist on midfielder Seth Casiple’s goal in the 70th minute made the difference in a narrow 2-1 victory over LA.
Earthquakes defender Kevin Partida, midfielder Siad Haji, and Homegrown Players JT Marcinkowski (GK), Jacob Akanyirige (D) and Gilbert Fuentes (M) were all featured in the Starting XI in Reno’s midweek defeat to Orange County SC on Wednesday, July 24 at Orange County Soccer Complex.
