NEWS: Two Earthquakes Players Obtain Green Cards, No Longer Occupy International Spots

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that midfielders Florian Jungwirth and Anibal Godoy have obtained U.S. green cards and no longer occupy international spots on the club's roster. The green cards drop the Quakes from 10 international players to eight, making them roster compliant for the 2018 season.

Godoy, 28, has started 57 of his 59 appearances for San Jose since joining the team in August of 2015. He has tallied five goals, including four game-winners, and three assists in two-and-a-half seasons. He’s also among the most fouled players in MLS, suffering a league-high 71 among players with fewer than 25 starts in 2017.
