With several players absent from training this week due to international duty, including U.S. National Team forward Chris Wondolowski, Panamanian midfielder Anibal Godoy and Georgian forward Vako, the Earthquakes have called in some reinforcements.
Five players from the team’s USL affiliate Reno 1868 FC will spend time in San Jose training with the Quakes first team this week. Defender Jimmy Ockford and midfielders Luis Felipe, Matt LaGrassa, Antoine Hoppenot and Chris Wehan will help add numbers to Quakes’ training sessions while also having an opportunity to show their skills to the coaching staff.
Reno is currently in second place in USL’s Western Conference with a 17-7-7 record.
