SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes will take on Sacramento Republic FC at 2 p.m. PT on Feb. 25 at Avaya Stadium in the team’s final preseason tune-up ahead of the 2017 MLS regular season. It marks the fourth consecutive year that the two Northern California clubs will square off in the preseason.
San Jose and Sacramento shared a Major League Soccer-United Soccer League affiliate partnership from 2014-16, before the Quakes reached a multi-year USL partnership with Reno 1868 FC, set to begin in 2017. The two sides have faced off in the preseason every year since 2014 and competed against one another in the Lamar Hunt U.
