SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that midfielders Darwin Ceren and Jahmir Hyka have been called up to their respective national teams.
Ceren, 27, will join the El Salvador National Team for an international friendly against Ecuador on June 13 at 6 p.m. PT at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. The two sides have faced each other in three international friendlies since 2009, with Ecuador prevailing victorious in all three encounters.
The match comes in preparation for the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, where El Salvador will face Mexico, Curacao and Jamaica during the group stage.
