SAN JOSE — Former English Premier League executive Tom Fox has a plan as he replaces Dave Kaval as the Earthquakes’ third president in a decade.

“The first thing I am going to do is shut my mouth and open my ears,” he said Tuesday at an introductory news conference at Avaya Stadium.

The former Aston Villa boss officially takes over within the month as Kaval hands off the job to concentrate on the A’s and building a new ballpark in Oakland.

Fox, who started his soccer journey in 2009 with Arsenal, outlined his plans to build up the Quakes’ sponsorship side.
