SAN JOSE — The Earthquakes are adding another attacking midfielder to the mix, an announcement expected to come at the end of the month.
“We’re in a very good spot right now,” general manager Jesse Fioranelli said in an interview addressing the Quakes’ at the midseason point.
Fioranelli described the latest addition as a player under the age of 28, who wants to join Major League Soccer and “who will be able to excite the people and carry the weight connecting midfield to attack.”
How such a player fits into a roster filled with capable offensive players remains to be seen.
