It’s not Chicharito but Earthquakes reportedly sign Mexican national team player

It’s not like getting former Chivas star Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, the Mexican great who last week signed a lucrative three-year deal with the Los Angeles Galaxy.

But the Earthquakes have signed a Mexican national team center back who played for Chivas under San Jose coach Matias Almeyda, according to multiple Spanish-language news outlets.

The player is Oswaldo Alanis, 30, who has made 23 appearances for El Tricolor and almost made the 2018 World Cup roster.
