FEATURE: The California Clasico among most-attended soccer games of 2017

Per a report by World Soccer Talk released on Thursday, the California Clasico between the San Jose Earthquakes and LA Galaxy at Stanford Stadium was one of 2017’s most attended soccer games in the United States.

The Clasico drew a figure north of 50,000 for the sixth consecutive year (50,617) and fans were treated to another dramatic Earthquakes victory at the home of the Cardinal. The attendance total was the 17th-highest on American soil during the calendar year, fifth-highest among MLS regular season contests, and second among games not held at Atlanta United’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
