The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup officially kicked off this past Friday when hosts France downed South Korea 4-0. An action-packed weekend followed that did not disappoint soccer fans in the slightest. Now, all eyes are on the United States Women’s National Team as they gear up to take on Thailand on Tuesday, June 11, at 12:00 p.m. and begin their world champion title defense.
The USWNT played three send-off matches in the month of May to help them prepare for the World Cup. It seems that the team is ready more than ever with those matches against South Africa, New Zealand, and Mexico resulting in three shutouts and 11 goals scored.
