CARSON -- Fatai Alashe scored in the 87th minute to give the Quakes a 1-1 tie with the Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday in front of a standing-room-only crowd of 17,167 at StubHub Center.
Alashe scored his second goal of the season on a diving 7-yard header off Chad Barrett's aerial diagonal ball from the left wing.The Galaxy took a 1-0 lead in the 83rd minute on defender Marvell Wynne's own goal. Wynne tried to tackle Sebastian Lletget's shot from the right side of the penalty area, but the ball deflected off his left foot and rolled inside the left post.
