SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes have signed midfielder Shea Salinas to a new multi-year contract. Since the start of the 2012 season, Salinas has tallied 31 assists, 13 more than any other Earthquakes player over that time period.
“I’m excited to continue my career with San Jose,” said Salinas. “I have loved living here and playing for the Earthquakes so I’m excited to remain with the club into the foreseeable future.”
Salinas, 29, has tallied 12 goals and 39 assists in 216 games (139 starts) during his nine-year MLS career. He has spent seven seasons with the Earthquakes, including each of the last five.
