SAN JOSE -- Chris Wondolowski just keeps scoring to keep the Earthquakes undefeated at home.
It happened again Sunday with San Jose's 1-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City in front of an announced sellout crowd of 18,000 at Avaya Stadium.The Quakes (4-2-2) will say nothing matters other than getting three points for a victory, particularly against a Western Conference rival.But they looked comatose for much of the match in failing to score a goal in the run of play for the second consecutive Major League Soccer game. But they did what was necessary to go 4-0-1 at Avaya in the first eight games of the season.
