SAN JOSE -- Shea Salinas wants to get a few more goals for the Earthquakes after his first of the season last weekend led to a 2-2 tie at Orlando City SC.
The team gave him a chance to increase his goal output for a few more years, announcing a multi-year deal Tuesday for the veteran winger who was San Jose's first draft pick for the 2008 expansion team. The Quakes did not provide terms of the contract extension per their policy."It's getting late in my career and I'd like to do a little more in the playoffs," Salinas said before the announcement Tuesday.
