Earthquakes, City of San Jose Moving Forward with Seven-Field Community Soccer Field Project at Guadalupe Gardens

The San Jose Earthquakes are continuing to make the team’s youth academy a priority. After expanding the academy to include full USSDA-competing squads at the U-12 and U-13 levels, the Quakes took another step forward in their plan to become the premier youth development program in Northern California.

On Friday, April 22, the City of San Jose reached agreements with the Earthquakes, Guadalupe River Park Conservancy and other stakeholders, which will allow the partners to formally pursue a seven-field community soccer field project at the Guadalupe Gardens.

The seven-field complex will be the official home of the Earthquakes Academy, allowing the teams to train in one unified location and build a sense of togetherness with a world-class facility.
