Chris Wondolowski signs new multi-year contract with San Jose Earthquakes

The San Jose Earthquakes have signed star forward Chris Wondolowski to a new two-year contract with an option for a third year, the club announced on Friday.

Wondolowski, 33, has scored 116 regular season goals in 240 appearances during his career, good for fourth all-time in Major League Soccer. He has scored 112 of those with San Jose, making him the club's all-time leading scorer.

He won the Golden Boot, awarded to the league's top scorer in 2010 and 2012, and was also the league's MVP in 2012. He has been named to the MLS Best XI three times and is a three-time MLS All-Star.
