HOUSTON -- Chris Wondolowski scored against his former team for the first time as the San Jose Earthquakes shared the points with the Houston Dynamo in a 1-1 tie at BBVA Compass Stadium on Sunday.
In a contest played at a slow pace in stifling heat, the Quakes didn't muster a shot on target until the very end of the first period, when Wondolowski was set up smartly by Simon Dawkins but denied by Dynamo goalkeeper Joe Willis.Then, two minutes into first-half stoppage time, the Dynamo took the lead when midfielder Alex dribbled into the penalty area and slotted a low shot into the far corner of David Bingham's net.
