SAN JOSE -- Chris Wondolowski has scored many crowd-pleasing goals in his successful career. But one goal he will remember for a long time came from Lionel Messi while the Earthquakes forward tried to help defend it.
Messi scored off an electrifying free kick in Argentina's 4-0 victory last week over the United States in the semifinals of the Copa America Centenario. The ball curled just under the crossbar in the far corner."It's pretty amazing to be part of that goal," Wondolowski said when returning to the Earthquakes after a month with the U.S. national team. "He couldn't have placed it any better with his hands.
