The Richmond Sol and San Jose New Stars competed in the ‘Best Game Ever,’ presented by Avaya Sunday, October 25 at Avaya Stadium.
Members of both teams arrived at the stadium thinking they were just getting a tour around the venue, then were led into the locker room where jerseys were hung for the day’s main event.
Friends family and Earthquakes supporters witnessed the Sol and New Stars take to the pitch alongside celebrity coaches and 2015 Earthquakes players Jordan Stewart and Tomas Gomez.
The kids went through a full pre-game walkout, team photos, a coin flip, and a national anthem ceremony.
