The San Jose Earthquakes had one of their most impressive weeks in club history during their two-game road trip to Kansas City and D.C., despite missing two of their three Designated Players.
Traveling to Sporting Park on Wednesday, the Quakes earned their first win in Kansas City since 2004 and handed SKC a 5-0 loss, their first home defeat of the season. Forward Chris Wondolowski and midfielder Cordell Cato each tallied a brace, while midfielder Shea Salinas notched two assists. Wondolowski surpassed 10 goals on the season and became the first player in MLS history to score 10+ goals in six straight seasons.
