Farhan Zaidi may not agree with its premise, but he seemingly agrees with an ESPN report Wednesday that the Giants’ recent winning ways won’t much alter his trade deadline plans.
Before his team won 12 of its last 14 games, conventional thinking had the Giants president of baseball operations looking to restock the team’s farm system by offloading assets, namely pitchers Madison Bumgarner and Will Smith. But to Zaidi, it’s never really been a question of choosing to buy or sell before the July 31 deadline.
“This entire season for us has never been a throwaway season or rebuilding season,” Zaidi said on KNBR-680’s “Murph and Mac Show” Wednesday.
