A Fox graphic shown seconds before the Los Angeles Dodgers’ second World Series walk-off home run in as many years raised delirious internet eyebrows on Monday night. During the closing seconds of an 18-inning affair that lasted six hours and 39 minutes, Fox flashed a graphic on the screen over footage of LA ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto warming up in the Dodgers’ pen, just two days after pitching a complete game in a 5-1 Game 2 victory. The graphic listed former Red Sox reliever Nathan Eovaldi’s line in an epic 2018 World Series appearance out of the pen (six innings pitched, one earned run) alongside Dodgers hero Will Klein’s effort Monday night (four innings pitched, zero earned runs), with the title “World Series: Heroic Relief Appearances.
