A few days ago I linked you to a San Francisco Giants YouTube video with Farhan Zaidi. In addition to the exciting baseball news contained in the video, Zaidi mentioned something important on the business side of things: The Giants will be paying their coaches, development staff, and scouts through December 31 at the very least.
“We’ve retained all of our scouts for the full season,” Zaidi said, as transcribed by NBC Sports Bay Area’s Alex Pavlovic. “That was a decision made by ownership, which obviously we feel really good about and I know (scouting director Michael Holmes) is excited to potentially get his guys back out to do summer work as some of these events start.
