I think that this story made the rounds in the comments on Monday, but in case you missed it, Ann Killion of The San Francisco Chronicle had an article earlier this week about Barry Zito in advance of his new book, Curveball.
Zito, who was left off the 2010 playoff roster, dealt with some really strong feelings of shame and bitterness, as he lays out in the piece. This led to a fallout with former eccentric Giants closer Brian Wilson, whose star was rising as Zito’s was seemingly plummeting.
