"Curry divulged that there was an attempt to arrange a meeting on Tuesday with Judge during his two-day stay in San Francisco," Poole wrote on Wednesday. "When that didn’t happen – the Warriors’ flight from New Orleans arrived a bit too late – they settled for exchanging text messages."
And while it would be nice to think Curry exchanged those texts for the Bay Area, strictly out of the goodness of his local-sports-loving heart, he admitted an ulterior motive.
“I am doing my part as a loyal Red Sox fan,” he told Poole.
