The SF Giants made a trade with the New York Mets on Wednesday. The deal sent relief pitcher Tyler Rogers to New York in exchange for three players in what some are considering a fleecing. If it is, it will not be the first time the Giants have fleeced the Mets.
In exchange for Rogers, the Giants got pitcher Blade Tidwell, New York's No. 10 prospect, outfielder Drew Gilbert, New York's No. 12 prospect, and relief pitcher José Buttó who has a 3.64 ERA on the season with the Mets.
SF Giants have fleeced the Mets in a trade before
That is a pretty nice haul for the Giants considering the Mets will only get Rogers for the remainder of this season before he becomes a free agent in the offseason.
