Bumgarner's last incident with the Dodgers came when Puig was a Red. This time it was Max Muncy who drew his ire after pimping a deep blast into McCovey Cove. Bumgarner followed Muncy down the line and encouraged him to pick up the pace. Muncy responded with his now infamous "go get it out of the ocean" line and later wore that on a t-shirt.
Bumgarner laughed it all off during a postgame interview, but made a good point when talking about the "Let the Kids Play" campaign MLB was running. He said the league needed to let him play, too, and that meant being fiery and old-school.
