Three in a row makes .500

Alex Cobb had given up only three homers in 51 IP so far this season so it was weird to see him give up two in one game. But that he did. He also pitched brilliantly over seven frames, keeping the Giants close and giving them a chance to win. Which they did. Down 3-0 in the 6th facing Twins starter Sonny Gray J.D. Davis led off with a walk and Michael Conforto followed with a double. A walk to Mitch Haniger loaded the bases and Gray was done. With two outs rookies Patrick Bailey and Bryce Johnson drew walks and the Giants were on the board.
