Three in a row

SF 4 TOR 0
The last time the Giants threw a shutout was on April 11th against the Rockies. Jeff Samardzija was the star that day and FNG Kevin Pillar provided all the offense with a solo homer in a 1-0 win. Today the star was FNG southpaw Drew Pomeranz who retired the first 13 batters he faced. He left after six innings (87 pitches) having allowed only two hits and two walks. Reyes Moronta took the 7th and Trevor Gott the 8th and 9th. Gott, impressively, delivered a six-up, six-down performance with three whiffs.
