On and off the field, it’s been a tough year for the San Francisco Giants.
The division title and franchise-record 107 wins from 2021 seem like some kind of fever dream after sitting through a boring, lousy on-field product in 2022. An offseason (and trade deadline) that produced minimal lineup reinforcements, coupled with slower-than-expected development of the system’s top prospects, has led to questions about the front office’s job security. And the ownership group is always polarizing, to say the least.
This is an organization that could really use a PR boost.
