We’re 30 games into the season after one full month of complete play and the San Francisco Giants are exactly where I expected them to be. They’re not quite a .500 team, but close to being one, and I suspect this will be the case for some time.
It’s not that I don’t believe the Giants can be better than that, I just don’t expect them to be. The first month of the season is like a shakedown cruise where they work out all the kinks and start to form an identity. Some might’ve already thrown a permanent tag of “mid” on these poor fellas, while the real fans might cape for “just you wait and see.
