If you’ve spent time the last few days watching the San Francisco Giants — and I will absolutely not judge you if you haven’t — then you’ve probably noticed Brandon Belt smoking the baseball into parts of Oracle Park that are just plain mean to hitters. Like, dangle dark chocolate sea salt caramels in front of your face but don’t let you eat them, mean.
Still, Belt has been rewarded. Not with the home runs he deserves, but with extra base hits. He had two doubles on Friday, and a triple on Thursday. Those were nice hits.
