The SF Giants trimmed minor league headcount earlier this month. According to the team's transaction log, a pair of veteran minor leaguers in Raymond Burgos and Devin Mann were released.
The Giants also released a handful of minor leaguers at the end of July. Elian Rayo, Javier Francisco, and Elijah Pleasants were released from the San Jose Giants. C.J. Widger and Guillermo Williamson were released from the Eugene Emeralds, and Mat Olsen was released from the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
This was done before the influx of players added at the trade deadline. They also have several minor leaguers beginning rehab assignments.
